Research Themes

My research lies at intersections. In the field I explore the relationship between large herbivores and the world below their feet. In my theoretical work, I integrate philosophy and ecology, exploring the most ethical ways we can interact with the environment and animals around us. Tying everything together is a zeal for scientific practice and conservation. Conservation must be fueled by sound research and informed by ethical principles, and such work cannot exist in a vacuum. Rather, at the nexus of disciplines, creativity can flourish, resulting in truly transformative projects.
