Principle Investigator
Dr. Kristy Ferraro |
I'm an ecosystem ecologist and conservation ethicist generally interested in how to incorporate animals into current ecological paradigms.
Presently, my work explores how animals shape and respond to their environments, and how societal values influence the ways we conserve ecosystems and the species within them. I primarly work in northern ecosytems, with active work in Newfoundland, Scotland, and Michigan. When I'm not in the field or the lab, you'll find me curled up with a novel - probably one set on a cold and remote island.
